10 minutes • Easy difficulty • One serving

Ingredients

This wonderfully yummy and delicious dessert is good for anytime you want a quick sweet treat! It is also great for anytime you want to show off some baking skills, but don't have much time.

Instructions

  1. Grab your favorite mug, preferably a mug that can hold around 1 1/2 cup.
  2. Pour flour into the mug. If clumpy, sift it in.
  3. Sift the cocoa powder into the mug. This makes it easier to mix the cake batter later by preventing clumps in the powder.
  4. Add the baking powder and sugar to the mug.
  5. Whisk the powders together using a fork. Make sure there are no clumps of powder. Mix until well combined.
  6. Add the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk into the cup.
  7. Mix the batter carefully to avoid clumping. Mix until well combined
  8. Add the chocolate chips to the mug and push them into the middle of the batter. Don't mix the chocolate chips into the rest of the batter. This is to make a gooey center.
  9. Place the mug into the microwave. Turn it on high and cook for 50-60 seconds. Be careful as to not over-cook the cake.
  10. After taking it out of the microwave, let it sit for a little. Make sure to enjoy it while it's hot, but be careful not to burn yourself!
