- Jasmine Rice
- 1 Shallot
- 1 Can of Spam
- Two eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/3 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- Seaweed (optional)
- Chicken seasoning (optional)
Spam fried rice — a classic, comforting dish. Everyone should know how to make this quick, delicious food. It is a simple 10 minute recipe that will keep you coming back for more!
- Mince a shallot. Set it aside for later use.
- Cut two roughly 1/2 inch slabs of Spam and dice it into small cubes. Set it aside for later use.
- Get a small bowl and crack two eggs into it. Optionally, add one teaspoon of fish sauce and mix well.
- Set the stove to high heat.
- Pour about 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, as well as shallots and diced Spam, into a pan. Fry for one minute.
- Add 1/3 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce to enhance the flavor of the Spam.
- Afterwards, add in half of your egg mixture, then your rice, fish sauce, and chicken seasoning.
- Pour in the rest of your egg mixture.
- Change the temperature to between low and medium and fry it for another minute.
- Add in 1/2 teaspoon of cooking oil again and turn the temperature up to medium heat for 30 seconds.
- You are finished! Season your Spam fried rice to your own preferences, and you're now ready to enjoy a delicious hot meal.
